How do crosswinds affect runway selection at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah International Airport?

Aircraft land and depart into the wind. Headwind is the part of the wind along the runway heading. Crosswind is the part blowing across the pavement. A negative headwind is a tailwind. At Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah International Airport (SZB/WMSA) the live call is landing and departure 33 with METAR wind 320° @ 4 kt. 33 shows 3.9 kt headwind, 0.0 kt tailwind, and 0.7 kt crosswind from the left. Controllers switch runways when the opposite threshold offers more headwind, or when the crosswind on the runway in use climbs. The component table lists every WMSA threshold so you can see which end holds the headwind and which end is taking the tailwind.
